Man assaulted on Staplestown Road

ONE man was hospitalised and another arrested following an assault in Carlow town last week.
The incident occurred on Staplestown Road just before midday on Wednesday 7 January.
The injured party, a man in his 50s, sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
A man in his 40s was arrested a short distance away from the scene of the crime. He has since been charged in connection with the incident.
