UPDATE: Local centre to manage calls during 'severe weather event'
It's definitely looking like a cold one for Co Carlow
Carlow County Council has this afternoon issued a statement in relation to the upcoming 'severe weather event'.
The local authority has established a Severe Weather Event Control Centre to receive, handle and manage calls from the public during this severe weather event.
The Severe Weather Event Control Centre will initially be open from 09:00 hrs Sunday 05/01/25 until 17:00 hrs Sunday 05/01/25.

The statement indicated "Any urgent need to contact Carlow County Council staff during out of office hours must be made through the assistance phone number 059 9170300 or the Severe Weather Event Control Centre phone number 059 9170302 when operational as detailed above.
We will update further if there are any changes to these warnings".
