GARDAI are appealing for witnesses to three burglaries that took place in County Carlow in the past week.

The first burglary took place on O’Brien Road, Carlow between 7-8pm on 31 January when €1,000 worth of property damage was incurred as the burglars attempted, unsuccessfully, to open a locked safe.

Another burglary took place sometime on the same night on the Tullow Road, though the gardaí are unsure as to when exactly it occurred. Entry into the property was gained through a rear window, though no damage to the property was reported.

The third burglary occurred at 10.30am on 4 February in the Kilmeany area and involved three male suspects and a dark-coloured vehicle. The assailants gained access through a back patio door and caused some damage to the glass.

Gardaí are reviewing CCTV footage from the areas in connection with the burglaries.
