Children at Kildavin Childcare Facility with the care packs they put together for the elderly

INTERGENERATIONAL kindness was evident in Kildavin Childcare Facility recently when the children lovingly put together care packs for the elderly. From delicious treats to crossword puzzles, beauty products to magazines, there were all sorts of lovely items carefully put together by the children and staff. Best of all, each of the children made wonderful little cards, wishing the recipients of the care packages a very happy Christmas and good health for 2025.

Care packs were sent to residents in care homes throughout the locality, including St John’s Community Hospital in Enniscorthy, Carlow Daycare Centre and Askea Community Centre, Carlow.

The children were delighted to take part in this initiative and welcomed deputy Jennifer Murnane O’Connor to the centre to see all their good work.
