Corporate plan for County Carlow is up and running

A CORPORATE plan that will create “our vision for the county” is now underway. Jim Woods from the Local Enterprise Office informed members that the local authority is to begin a Corporate Plan 2024-2029. He stated that this strategy would put a plan in place for the next five years, clearly stating “what we are, what we’re not and our vision for the county”. He encouraged members to engage in the plan, adding that it was “an opportunity for us to get down in black and white what we are about”. Chief executive Coilín O’Reilly agreed, adding that the strategy encourages the county to look at its vision for the future and stick to that vision. “Capital projects don’t come easy and we know they are not cheap, this is our opportunity to say what we want and stick to that. It’s not something that can depend on what way the wind is blowing or a political response to something that is happening."
