VISUAL and Carlow Arts Office have issued an open call for exhibition proposals, which will result in a new project at Visual in 2027.

There are no constraints on what the exhibition can be about.

The winning application will be paid an artist fee and be given the time and resources to bring an ambitious exhibition to life in September 2027. The winner will also benefit from curatorial, production, technical and marketing support.

Visual welcomes exhibition proposals from artists of all career stages, working in any media locally, in Ireland or internationally.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 22 May at 5pm.

This year’s selection panel is made up of Aileen Nolan, Carlow county arts officer; Aisling Prior, independent curator; Benjamin Stafford, Visual arts curator; artist Daphne Wright; and Sepake Angiama, artistic director of the Institute of International Visual Arts.
