Shane Farrell wins Feely Foundation scholarship

A FARM student from Bagenalstown was one of four recipients of the 2025 John Feely Foundation Scholarship at a presentation in Limerick recently. Shane Farrell from Ballycormack, Bagenalstown, who is currently studying agriculture at SETU Waterford, received the €1,500 prize at an awards ceremony in the ICMSA’s head office in Limerick.

The John Feely Foundation offers scholarships to support young agricultural students across the country and is open to students in year one of an agricultural course.

ICMSA president Denis Drennan said that the ICMSA and the John Feely Foundation were determined to commit funds and energy to the education of young farm students in accordance with the conviction of the legendary ICMSA president after whom the scholarships were named.
