The purse was lost between Gala Hergarty's, Staplestown Road and Aldi Hanover

A NATIONALIST reader is hopeful that kindness will prevail and some honest person will return his missing purse, which contained a large sum of cash.

The Carlow town man lost the purse on yesterday (Sunday) between noon and 1pm while walking from Gala Hegarty’s on the Staplestown Road to Aldi, Hanover. The purse was brown in colour with two zips and was plain on the outside with no branding.

The man walked to Aldi via the Fairgreen Shopping Centre direction.

“It had a large quantity of cash in it so I’m just hoping someone found it and would return it,” he said.

“It hasn’t been my week,” he admits, adding that other things which have gone wrong included car trouble.

“They says things happen in threes, so hopefully this is the end of it,” he said.

If anyone had found the purse, they can contact The Nationalist on 059 9170100 or email news@carlow-nationalist.ie
