The pop-up shop is running in Fairgreen Shopping Centre

LOOKING for a truly unique and distinctive Christmas gift idea? Well, look no further than Fairgreen Shopping Centre, Carlow, where some of the county’s most notable designer makers and craftspeople have come together to open a very special pop-up shop this festive season.

Form Designmade in Carlow will open a pop-up shop in Fairgreen at the former NAME IT unit from Wednesday 10 December to Christmas Eve, open daily from 10am to 6pm, with late opening until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and Sunday from noon to 6pm.

Form is group of designer makers and craftspeople living and working in the Carlow region and featured some exquisite and remarkable work. Among the craftspeople showcasing their work in the pop-up shop are woodturner Darragh Sinnott Design, jeweller Emma Jane Champley, feltmaker Leiko Uchiyama, costume jewellery from Liga Valge of Valg Studio, Irish stone sculptor Martin Little of Lithicworks, ceramics from Martin Marley of MMceramics, jeweller Mary Bourke of DeBurca Design, fine art textiles from Nicola Brown, quilt maker Tomomi McElwee, jeweller Dorothy Bentley of Newgrange Jewellery and lace-maker Mary O’Neill (Borris and Carrickmacross).

The pop-up shop will also feature the work of guest makers Lucinda Robertson of Cinders Glass and card maker Natalia Sliusar of Natalia Sliusar Art.
