Four drunk drivers charged in Carlow in past week

FOUR men have been arrested and charged with drink-driving in Carlow over the past week and all four are due to appear before the courts.
On 16 March at 1am, a 39-year-old male was arrested and charged with drink-driving after being pulled over by gardaí. The man subsequently failed a breathalyser and blood test.
The following day, also at 1 am, on the N80 outside Bunclody, a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a single car collision. The man crashed into a ditch, but there was no damage to the property.
On 19 March at 9pm, gardaí observed a car driving erratically on Hanover Road. The driver, a 29-year-old male, was arrested and conveyed to Carlow Garda Station, where he was charged with drunk-driving.
At 10.10am on 21 March, a 38-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving on Tullow Road, Carlow town.
