Tullow Macra to host open evening for new members

TULLOW Macra is inviting young adults from across the region to discover why the club might just be the best place to meet new people, learn new skills and have a great time — with no swiping required!
On Wednesday 10 September at 8pm, the parish centre in Tullow will host an information evening to launch the new Macra year. Attendees will hear firsthand about the benefits of joining the organisation — from leadership development and travel opportunities to the vibrant social scene that’s helped many members find lifelong friends, and even partners.
“You don’t have to be a farmer to join,” said Patrick Jordan, a Tullow Macra member. “Macra is a dynamic organisation with clubs in towns and villages across Ireland. We welcome anyone aged 17 to 35 who’s interested in rural life, community and having fun.”
The organisation has evolved alongside Ireland’s changing demographics. Today, only one-third of members work directly in agriculture, with the rest coming from all walks of life, united by a shared interest in rural development, social connection, and personal growth.
“If you come along to the information night, you’ll see what Tullow Macra — and the wider Macra community — has to offer. It’s more than just a club. It’s a place to belong,” said Patrick.
