The event was opened by teacher Darragh Kelly from the Ethos Team, who highlighted how the universal language of music and dance fosters real connections between students and their grandparents, emphasising the power of inter-generational bonding.

The day was filled with vibrant performances directed by Leeann Cummins, the school’s music teacher, featuring a variety of musical and dance acts that everyone loved. Students had the opportunity to share their talents and experiences with their grandparents, showcasing the profound influence and support these special figures provide in their lives.

“Through music and dance, we build real connections. Today is about honouring the people who have guided us, supported us and shaped who we are,” said one student. “Grandparents and special persons are an integral part of our lives and we are grateful to have this opportunity to celebrate them.”

Coláiste Eoin is proud to continue its tradition of fostering strong community ties and promoting involvement in education through creativity and the arts. The event was a testament to the school’s commitment to engagement, respect and unity, leaving all in attendance with a sense of joy and togetherness.
