Tree planted to mark 75th Tullow Show

Members of the Stanley family in Coppenagh where the annual Tullow Agricultural Show is held
THE organising committee of Tullow agricultural show gathered with the Stanley family to plant a tree in commemoration of the upcoming 75th show. All in attendance were delighted to be able to celebrate the longevity of the annual event and look forward to another show day at Coppeneagh showgrounds, Co Carlow (R93 FD83) on 17 August.
The tree, a native whitebeam (Sorbus aria), was planted with the kind permission and support of the Stanley family on the picturesque showgrounds. Committee members joined the family for a commemorative photograph around the newly planted tree.
The show has been an annual staple of Carlow’s calendar of events for the past eight decades and continues to bring people together through competition classes, agricultural and livestock displays, live music and much more. Surrounded by a landscape of mature trees, this new addition is a living tribute to 75 years of community spirit and agricultural heritage linked to the event.
All those who attended would like to thank the Stanley family for their generosity and kind support over the years.
