Aoife Kelly is aiming to win back to back All-Island Cups when Shelbourne host Galway United at Tolka Park in the final this evening.
Speaking to The Nationalist, Kelly said it’s going to be a great occasion.
“We’re really looking forward to it. We’re having a really great season and we’re still in the mix for three trophies, we’re in the next round of the FAI Cup, we’re still in the league and obviously we’re in the final of this.
"It’ll be a great day. We faced Galway once before this season and it was at Tolka Park and it was 0-0 so it’ll be a really close game.
"The game is at Tolka Park where we play our home games so hopefully we can get a huge home support behind us.”
Kelly moved back to Shels at the start of this season from Wexford where she won the All-Island Cup last season.
Shelbourne was Kelly’s first club when she first made the move to the League of Ireland from St. Pat’s when she was just a girl.
“It’s been really nice going back and catching up with all the girls again. It’s my third final, I was in it with Rovers two years ago and lost and then last year I was in it with Wexford and won it.
"It’ll be really special to go and win it twice. A lot of the girls have experience winning leagues and cups too though.”
