THREE Carlow Mace stores were recognised for their excellent retail standards at recent a company event at Lawlor’s Hotel in Naas, Co Kildare.
Lynch's Mace in Old Leighlin, Mulhall's Mace in Borris and Nolan's Mace in Tullow received a Mace excellence award at the event earlier this month.
Catherine Lynch, Dermot Mulhall, Kevin Nolan and their teams were congratulated ‘‘for the vital role they play in their local communities” by Keith Crawford, sales director of the group.
The awards were presented only to stores that successfully completed an intensive, year-long inspection programme. This included two unannounced audits, an audit by Solution Management Associates and a BWG Foods safety audit conducted in conjunction with globally recognised assurance partner LRQA. BWG Foods are the owners and operators of the Mae brand in Ireland.
Operated by independent retailers, MACE’s nationwide network includes local community stores, forecourt shopping locations and urban stores, with more than 160 stores across Ireland.
