Robert will be laid to rest on Friday

TULLOW man Robert Healy who died unexpectedly earlier this week and who has been described as a “kind, articulate and always smiling” will be laid to rest on Friday.
The 24-year-old was reported missing by gardaí last Monday in the south-west Wicklow area. His body was discovered on Tuesday during searches.
Hugely popular among his local community and in Macra circles in Tullow, Mr Healy lived in Meadowbrook, Rath in the town.
His funeral notice on rip.ie details that he is ‘sadly missed by his heartbroken’ parents Jim and Mary and his sisters Aisling and Naoise.
The young man is also mourned by his grandmother Geraldine, aunts Fionnuala, Carolyn and Catherine, uncles Michael, David and Christopher, cousins, extended family, neighbours, relatives and many friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Leo and Mary Healy and Chris Sweetman, aunt Geraldine Healy and uncle Barry Sweetman.
His remains will be reposing at Halligan’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Tullow (Eircode R93 TX99) tomorrow, Thursday, from 4pm until 8pm. Mr Healy’s funeral Mass will take place at the Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Tullow on Friday at 11am, with burial in nearby St Patrick’s Cemetery.
Scores of condolences have been paid to Mr Healy’s family, with one mourner describing him as ‘someone who did things with heart and still tried to persevere through it all’.
The message on rip.ie continued: ‘You could recognise when people weren’t in the best shape, you actively tried to be inclusive with those around you, and above all else – you made an effort. You had heart, and you had kindness. I’m glad to have met you in DCU and in Redbrick, and I’m glad to have been given a hug from you. My genuine condolences to the Healy family, his friends, and to those who knew him.’
Another who offered their sympathies added: ‘Robert was a friendly, smiley and articulate young man and it was a pleasure to meet him always.’
Develop Tullow Association also paid its respects: ‘We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Robert Healy’s family and friends, to Tullow Macra, and to all who knew him. His passing is a deep loss for our community. Let’s look out for and support one another during this difficult time.’
And Tullow Macra Na Feirme wrote: ‘On behalf of Tullow Macra club members, we extend our deepest sympathies to the Healy family on the passing of Robert, our club secretary. May he rest peacefully.’
