A public meeting, open to all, has been arranged for Monday 13 July for those interested or affected by the recent installation of static cameras in Carlow, Waterford and Kilkenny.

The meeting is being held at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel and will begin at 8pm.

At the meeting there will be updates on the progress of investigations and issues to do with the static cameras in the three counties. Plans and strategies for how this issue will be progressed will also be revealed at the meeting.

"This meeting will be of great benefit to everyone who has been affected by the static camera and fixed penalty notices." a spokesperson said in a statement uploaded to Facebook.

Catherine Callahan TD and George Lawlor TD have both confirmed that they will be in attendance.

Organisers have said that as it costs €125 to rent the room in the hotel they are looking for donations to help cover the cost with any money left over going to charities in Carlow.
