Man (50) dies after two-vehicle collision in Co Louth

A man has died following a two-car collision in Dundalk, Co Louth, on Sunday.
The collision happened on the R215 at Newtownfane at 2.50 pm.
The driver of one of the cars, a man in his 50s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body has been removed to the Louth County Hospital, and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
A man, aged in his 50s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The coroner has been notified.
The scene has undergone a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time between 2:30pm and 3:00pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
