A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene.

A man who died after crashing a motorcycle in east Belfast has been named by police.

Police said the victim was aged in her 80s.

The motorcyclist has been remembered by the Munster Motorcycle club who say that they are “utterly heartbroken” at the loss of their long time club member and lifelong friend.

The man, aged in his 70s, was riding a motorcycle which was in collision with a van on Sunday morning.

A verdict of accidental death was recorded at the inquest on Wednesday into the death of Sharon Healy from Kiskeam, Co Cork.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Dylan Coady-Coleman of Corrib Drive, Shannon, Co Clare, died at Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street in Dublin on February 28th, 2024, from his injuries.

The road between Kilcock and Enfield is closed and expected to remain so until Tuesday pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

The male driver (60s) and female passenger (age unknown at this time) of the second motorcycle were brought by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision happened at John Street, Dublin Road, at 7:10 am.

The collision involving a crane and two vans occurred on the R401 at Drumcooly at approximately 6:15am.

The road was closed for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. It has since reopened.

Shanballymore GAA is among those who have paid tribute to the deceased.

The incident happened on the Castlebar road involving a car and a motorcycle, which occurred at approximately 4.50 pm. 

The road remains closed at this time to facilitate a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

The man's body has been removed to Tipperary University Hospital and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.

The collision happened on the L1029 road at Deerpark, Lixnaw, at 5.40pm.

A 19-year-old male cyclist who was injured in a collision on Sunday night, July 27th, on the R113, Fonthill Road South, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, has also died. 

The collision involved an e-scooter and a car and occurred at approximately 10:50pm.

Following the collision, a man in his 20s was arrested and has now being charged.

Another passenger, a woman in her 30s, was conveyed to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.

The incident happened at a car park on Castle Villas Street at 4:30 pm.

The driver and passenger of the second car, a man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred on the N4 at Ballinalack at around 4.20pm on Wednesday, July 9th.

Cllr Doherty told RTÉ radio’s Morning Ireland that conditions for driving at the timer had been favourable, but that the road in question has been the scene of previous fatal accidents.

Two adults and another child are in a serious condition in hospital in Derry.

The man has been named locally as Colm Lynch O’Sullivan (22) of Cloncourse, Ballaghmore, Laois. He was originally from Roscrea in Co Tipperary.

Gardaí were alerted to a motorcyclist found unresponsive on Sunday morning on the R515 at Coolnagour between Milford and Dromcolliher, Co. Limerick.

A 25-year-old motorcyclist has died after a crash also involving a car in Co Armagh.

The incident happened on the Cappagh Road on Sunday, shortly after 5pm.

The man has been named locally as Paddy O’Donoghue (81) from Gortahoonig, Muckross, Killarney, Kerry.

Shortly after 7.30am, gardaí were alerted to the collision on the junction of Griffeen Avenue, R136 and Balgaddy Road.

The incident happened involving a pick-up truck, shortly after 8pm on the on Barrettstown Road.

The driver of the van, a man in his 50s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are currently carrying out a technical examination of the scene and the road remains closed.

The road has been closed for a technical examination of the scene to be conducted and diversions are in place.

Those caught exceeding the speed limit will be issued a Fixed Charge Notice fine of €160 along with three penalty points.

The incident happened at Clareview Park in Ballybane at about 2.50pm on Sunday, May 18th.
