Gardaí arrest man after attempted break-in at Tullow property

A MAN was arrested after being caught breaking into a garden shed at a residential property in Castlemore, Tullow, in the early hours of Friday morning.

The homeowner spotted a male lurking around his backyard at approximately 6.30am on 13 March and immediately contacted the gardaí. Officers arrived on the scene and observed the man in the act of breaking into the home office shed at the rear of the property.

The man, described as being in his late 30s and not previously known to gardaí, was arrested at the scene and brought to Tullow Garda Station. Nothing was taken from the property.
