A VAN driver who struck a pedestrian while exiting a service station in Portlaoise was fined €500 at last week’s sitting of the local district court.
Colum Hayes, Fr Cummins Park, Bagenalstown, Carlow pleaded guilty to careless driving at Corrib Oil, Circle K service station, Mountmellick Road, Portlaoise on 2 April.
