Driver caught with €800 of cannabis in Graiguecullen

A MAN has been arrested following a series of drug seizures carried out by An Garda Síochána in Carlow over the past week.

In the most significant incident, gardaí stopped and searched a vehicle in Graiguecullen on 13 March, recovering approximately €800 worth of cannabis herb, subject to analysis. The male suspect and driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale or supply and detained at Carlow Garda Station.

On the same day, also in Graiguecullen, gardaí searched a property under warrant and recovered a small quantity of cannabis.

In a separate incident on 10 March, at approximately 3am, gardaí stopped and searched a vehicle at Green Lane, Carlow. The male driver was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis.
