CHILDREN’S charity Barnardos has called on people in Carlow with any unwanted or leftover Christmas gifts to donate them to their shop in Carlow town.

Any donated gifts will help generate funds so that Barnardos can continue to support children and families in need across Ireland.

“We all know the feeling of receiving Christmas presents that we don’t really want or need and end up stuck with them lying around the house,” said Barnardos retail shops manager Colette Miller.

“Instead of leaving them clogging our cupboards, take them down to your local Barnardos shop in Carlow, where we will happily find someone to put them to good use. The funds raised from these donations go directly towards our work in 56 service locations, where we can help children when they need it most. Because childhood lasts a lifetime.” Barnardos provides support to over 35,000 children and families across Ireland.

The Barnardos store in Carlow town is located at 48 Dublin Street and is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
