Man kicked in head during row outside Carlow pub
A row broke out outside a pub on Dublin Street, Carlow during which a man was twice kicked in the head
GARDAI are investigating the circumstances of a brawl that broke out outside Gracie’s pub on Dublin Street in Carlow town at around 1.50am on Saturday 26 September, a garda spokesperson confirmed.
Videos circulating on social media over the weekend appeared to show a fight involving seven people, two women and five men. One video shows a male who is crouched down on the ground being kicked twice in the head by two different men and a woman being thrown from the pavement onto the street.
An ambulance was later called to the scene, but An Garda Siochana said in a statement that “the incident and circumstances were not reported to An Garda Siochana on the night in real time”.
Multiple videos of the incident and its aftermath show that it was witnessed by at least eight people who did not participate in the violence.
Superintendent Anthony Farell of Carlow Garda Station said: “I would ask anyone who has information that would support the garda investigation to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 9136 620.”
