A SCIENCE teacher from St Mary's Academy CBS had the honour of representing Ireland at the prestigious Science on Stage Festival in Turku, Finland.

Tracey Mason was part of an 11-member Irish delegation, one of four selected to showcase innovative teaching methods and practices on an international stage.

The Science on Stage Festival is a renowned event that gathers primary and secondary school educators from across Europe to exchange best practices and creative ideas in STEM education. This year, the festival attracted 450 teachers from various countries, all eager to share and learn from one another through stands, workshops and highlight sessions.

Ms Mason’s participation in the festival was a significant professional milestone. The event provided her with an invaluable opportunity to engage with a diverse community of educators who share a passion for advancing STEM education.

The Science on Stage Europe Network, which organised the festival, is instrumental in fostering collaboration among STEM teachers across the continent. By promoting the exchange of innovative teaching practices, the network helps to enhance the quality of STEM education in schools throughout Europe.
