Carlow to Cork Tractor Run will mark 21st anniversary

The run takes place on Friday 30 May
THE CARLOW to Cork Tractor Club will proudly mark its 21st anniversary of raising vital funds for Children’s Health Foundation Ireland on Friday 30 May. Departing from Fenagh, 60 vintage tractors will make the 200km journey to the Halfway, Ballinhassig, Co Cork.
The club fundraises throughout the year to hand over a cheque to the hospital, and since 2005 it has given over €580,000 to the Children’s Health Foundation.
This year’s donation will fund The KIDS Project – paediatric chairs, promoting and facilitating early mobility post-cardiothoracic surgery and extra life support (ECLS) and a sensory play department.
What began as a small group of vintage tractor enthusiasts in Carlow in 2005 has grown into a powerful movement, driving hope and change along the 200km stretch from Carlow to Cork. This year’s commemorative run will continue the club’s long-standing tradition of supporting sick children, with all proceeds going to the Children’s Health Foundation, benefiting Crumlin’s sick children.
“For 21 years we’ve been proud to be a part of something that's bigger than ourselves,” said Brendan Byrne, founder of Carlow to Cork Tractor Club.
