Local business The B!G Idea from Leighlinbridge, Carlow has been shortlisted in the Digital for Good Award for the Spider Awards 2025, Ireland’s longest-running and most prestigious digital awards.
The awards celebrate the brightest minds in the digital industry, and this year’s finalists highlight the incredible innovation that’s happening in Carlow.
The B!G Idea was founded by Leighlinbridge-based Kim MacKenzie Doyle who studied industrial design and graduated from SETU Carlow before setting up the innovative company.
It’s an initiative that empowers young people to think creatively to solve real-world problems. The company connects young people with industry mentors to help them forge a better future by thinking outside the box.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie gala event on Friday 21 March at the Mansion House, Dublin.
Established in 1996, the Spider Awards are dedicated to recognising companies and individuals who are driving innovation and setting new standards in digital transformation. As the longest-running digital awards programme in Ireland, they remain a cornerstone for showcasing the achievements of the nation’s digital pioneers.
This year’s Spider Awards saw a remarkable surge in entries, reflecting the innovation and creativity thriving within Ireland’s digital sector. Held in the iconic Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin 2, this black-tie gala dinner promises to be an unforgettable evening, with approximately 500 attendees celebrating excellence in the digital industry.
