With almost all of the Co Carlow ballot boxes opened, tallies indicated that Fianna Fáil's Jennifer Murnane O’Connor is on 20%, Fine Gael’s Catherine Callaghan on 15% and Sinn Féin's Áine Knox Gladney on 13%.
