STRESS and anxiety have become part of our daily lives and finding a way to maintain mental clarity and physical wellbeing is essential. Offering just that is the Tai Chi and Wellness Academy in Carlow – a wellness group dedicated to helping individuals regain inner peace, holistic health and growth through the ancient art of Tai Chi.

Often referred to as ‘meditation in motion’, Tai Chi combines slow, deliberate movements with breath awareness, creating a harmonious union between mind and body and spirit.

Academy member Brigid Brennan said: “Our mission is to cultivate a community where individuals of all ages and fitness levels can practise Tai Chi and experience its profound benefits – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

“Whether you are seeking stress relief, improved physical health, a greater sense of mental clarity or growth and expansion of the self, our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of the way.” Certified instructors offer flexible class options from beginner to advanced levels, including sessions for seniors, people with limited mobility and those interested in mental wellbeing. Ongoing teacher peer group support and continuous learning is under the guidance and instruction of Rosaleen Fadden and Richard O’Connell. Rosaleen has 20 years’ experience working as an accredited counsellor and family therapist, registered nurse and certified life coach.
