CARLOW Library Service has teamed up with the South East Energy Agency (SEEA) to launch a free resource that helps homeowners across Kilkenny, Carlow and the southeast discover funding to make their homes more energy efficient.

Free energy consultations are available at monthly drop-in energy clinics, where people can find out what energy-efficient measures would suit their homes, as well as getting assistance in how to apply for various grants.

Carlow County Library is among four libraries in the southeast chosen to pilot the free resource, along with library services in Wexford and Waterford.

The Community Energy Hub initiative aims to provide easy access to sustainable home improvement grants and energy-saving information, plus raise awareness about the range of financial supports available. The low-carbon website includes a home energy grant finder tool, which helps users identify specific grants applicable to their homes. The information provided on the platform is impartial, ensuring that homeowners receive reliable and trustworthy guidance. The Community Energy Hub resource is available to all via https://communityenergyhub.ie/
