THE CASTLEDERMOT Vintage Day proved to be a huge success on Sunday drawing a large crowd under sunny skies.

The event offered something for everyone, with a lively schedule that included tractor pulling, traditional horse ploughing, a dog show, steam engines, vintage tractors & cars, a wide variety of stalls, and plenty of games and activities to keep adults and children entertained throughout the day.

One of the highlights was the jiving competition, which attracted a strong turnout of talented dancers competing across several categories.
Live music added to the festive atmosphere, with performances from Castledermot Parish Choir, Keelin Browne, and popular local singer Alistair Fingleton. Proceeds from the day will be donated to local amenities, including the Delta Centre Carlow, Castledermot St Vincent de Paul and Radio Castledermot.

Castledermot Vintage Club extends its thanks to all who attended and supported the event, especially the local businesses whose generous donations helped make the day possible.
