Hard to call two close finals
Clonmore's Con Murphy
Both these teams came through high scoring semi-finals. The Teach Asca side were too good for Old Leighlin chalking up 5-14 while Clonmore drew with Tinryland in their last four game scoring 5-11 to their opponents 4-14. They eventually prevailed by five points in the replay.
Éire Og were impressive were Corey Harmon had the game of his life scoring nine points with two two-pointers thrown in there. The experienced Derek Hayden scored two goals.
Clonmore would love to win this one. Their intermediates had a tough year and no doubt, those players will rally around those who are appearing here. Owen Coleman is key for them. Sean Tompkins and Con Murphy also know where the posts are. This should be a fascinating encounter. Éire Óg’s strength in depth may be decisive.

The Slaneysiders will be looking to Tadhg Foley, Conor Cleary, Eoin O’Toole and Kevin Healy for inspiration. They are managed by John Fitzgerald and Gary Maxwell.
Ballon are in the intermediate final but their second string have a solid rump of experienced players in the squad with David Wilson, John Gittens, Brian Maher and Kevin Maher all doing well in their comprehensive semi-final win over Fenagh. Dinny Maher is manager.
When these sides met earlier in the season, Ballon won their group game narrowly and after that both teams were unbeaten in their remaining tests. Maybe that will give them an edge.
