Woman airlifted to hospital following dog attack in Carlow Town
A WOMAN in her late 50s was airlifted to hospital this afternoon following a dog attack at a residential property in Carlow Town.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene on Tuesday 30 December 2025, after reports of the incident.
The woman was removed from the scene by air ambulance to the Mater Hospital Dublin for treatment of injuries believed to be serious.
The services of the dog warden were requested and the dog was euthanised by a vet at the scene.
The dog is believed to be of a restricted breed.
The scene is currently preserved for technical examination and enquiries are ongoing.
