Vegan festival in Lisnavagh taking place this weekend

Sharon Shannon, alongside Cathy Davey, are special guests at the Féile Vegan this weekend

FROM wonderful food to interesting talks and from sound baths to teaching your dog how to speak Irish, this weekend sees the first ever vegan festival taking place in Lisnavagh House, Rathvilly.

Féile Vegan is starting tomorrow, Friday and running until Sunday evening, and is shaping up to be one of the most interesting events of the summer in County Carlow. Two of the festival’s biggest draws are Sharon Shannon and Cathy Davey who are playing on Saturday evening. Expect delicious food, fascinating guest speakers and wellness workshops all taking place in the beautiful and historic grounds of Lisnavagh House, Rathvilly.

Organisers said: “Our festival is a grassroots celebration of good food, good music, art and life. We are delighted to announce Sharon Shannon, Cathy Davey, plenty of talks, food stalls, live music, children’s events, and lots of wellness workshops."

The festival is solar powered by the Renewable Wizard, and will take place from Friday 15 August until Sunday 17 August. There is camping included in the full weekend pass, and day tickets are available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We look forward to welcoming anyone looking to enjoy a sunny weekend at Lisnavagh House in County Carlow.
