Burglar Breaking Into House
A VACANT house in Slyguff, Bagenalstown, was broken into between 7pm on Monday, 27 October and 8am on the following morning.
Entry was gained through a side window of the property, which was smashed during the incident.
The house was ransacked by the intruder or intruders, although it has not yet been established whether anything was taken from the property.
The owner of the house was abroad at the time of the burglary and had asked his brother to check on the vacant dwelling regularly. It was the brother who discovered the broken window and alerted authorities.
The owner had not returned at the time of reporting, and as such, gardaí have been unable to determine if any items were stolen during the break-in.
