Tributes flood in after heartbreaking death of little Carlow girl

TRIBUTES have been flooding in after the death of a primary school child in Carlow town.
Nicole Ndlovu Umhle, a pupil in Holy Family NS, Askea passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on Sunday 31 August at Crumlin Children’s Hospital, Dublin.
Nicole was the much-loved loved daughter of Nkosikona (Kosi) and Sitholumusa (Hilda) and adored sister of Adriel. The family live in Millrace, Burrin Road, Carlow.
The Holy Family NS posted a tribute to the little girl on RIP.ie The tribute said: ‘On behalf of the staff, board of management and wider school community, we express our heartfelt sympathy to Hilda, Kosi, Adriel and Nicole's extended family at this very difficult time. Nicole will be deeply missed by all her friends here in Askea. She was a beautiful girl inside and out. Although her time with us was far too short, we will cherish the memories. Forever in our hearts Nicole.’ She was a young girl who lived her short life to the full and had many hobbies and talents, including swimming and Irish dancing.
Anne Marie and Lorraine Farrell from the Farrell School of Dance described Nicole as a ‘beautiful, always smiling, well mannered, polite and kind little girl.’ ‘She was a beautiful Irish dancer who had really come into her own, enjoying doing competitions and wearing her Irish dance dress so proudly. We are going to miss her so much in our class. Fly high little angel and may you continue dancing over the rainbow. Look after your Mam, Dad and brother in these difficult times ahead,’ they said in their tribute on RIP.ie Nicole’s remains are reposing at her home, 20 The Millrace, Burrin Road, Carlow (Eircode R93 H0A4) this evening, Thursday 4 September from 5pm until 7pm.
Her funeral Mass will take place tomorrow, Friday at 11am in The Holy Family Church, Askea and afterwards to Carpenter Bros Cremation Chapel, Shamrock Square, Carlow arriving for cremation Service at 12.30pm.
