Taxi driver says he brought missing woman to airport

Natalie Nolan: last seen on Monday 30 June
GARDAÍ have confirmed that missing Carlow woman Natalie Nolan travelled to Dublin Airport by taxi on the morning of 24 June, raising the possibility that she may have left the country.
The significant development in the case was revealed by Supt Anthony Farrell, who told
that Ms Nolan was picked up at an address in Carlow town by a taxi driver who later recognised her from the missing persons alert that received national media coverage. The taxi driver contacted Carlow gardaí after recognising Ms Nolan from the widely-circulated image and told officers he remembered calling her by the name ‘Natalie’ during their conversation on the journey to Dublin Airport.
The taxi driver was “adamant” that it was Ms Nolan he brought in his car to Dublin Airport, said Supt Farrell. He described how he was “calling her by name on the way up” to Dublin in what would have been at least an hour and 15 minutes journey.
Carlow gardaí are “satisfied” that the 41-year-old woman did make it to Dublin Airport on 24 June, though it remains unknown whether she subsequently left the country.
“We still would be anxious to speak to anybody who might be in touch with her just to make sure that she’s okay,” Supt Farrell added. Any information that would “definitively establish her safety” remains important to the investigation.
Ms Nolan was reported missing six days after she was last seen, on Monday 30 June, by someone close to her. The original missing persons alert stated that she was last seen in the Tullow Street area at approximately 7am on Tuesday 24 June.
She is described as being approximately 5ft 8ins in height with a slim build, brown/blonde hair and blue eyes. When last seen, she was wearing a long black jacket, jeans, white runners and a light-coloured baseball cap and was carrying a black rucksack and white shoulder bag.
Gardaí and Ms Nolan’s family remain concerned for her wellbeing.
Anyone with information on Natalie’s whereabouts is asked to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 9136620, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
