Specsavers Carlow will officially launch its new expanded audiology hub this Friday 18 July with a weekend-long celebration featuring live music, prizes and free ice cream.

The enhanced facility aims to address growing demand for hearing care services in Carlow and surrounding areas by effectively doubling appointment availability through the addition of a second testing room and planned weekend clinics.

“We are delighted to be able to offer improved hearing services to the people of Carlow and surrounding areas,” said Brian Maher, audiology director at Specsavers Carlow. “Monitoring hearing health is crucial, and with our increased capacity and advanced services, we can now reach more people and provide the essential support they need.” The upgraded hub features advanced testing equipment and dedicated soundproof hearing rooms designed to ensure accurate results and patient comfort. Services include comprehensive hearing checks, hearing aid servicing, battery replacements, and professional ear wax removal.

The grand opening celebration takes place on Friday 18 July with a weekend of activities planned. Visitors can enjoy an in-store live DJ and radio broadcast, spot prizes, goody bags, and complimentary treats from an on-site ice cream van.

The expansion represents Specsavers’ response to increasing local demand for audiology services, with the new setup designed to reduce waiting times for customers seeking hearing care.

Community members interested in learning more about the hearing services or booking an appointment can call (059) 913 7700 or visit the store’s website at specsavers.ie/stores/carlow.

The Carlow team has extended an open invitation to the local community to attend the grand opening weekend and experience the new facilities firsthand.
