Presentation students cast spell with ‘Wizard and Witches of Oz’

STUDENTS at Presentation College, Carlow brought a touch of magic to the stage over three memorable nights this Christmas with their vibrant new adaptation The Wizard and Witches of Oz. Audiences were treated to a fresh and imaginative story that blended the much-loved The Wizard of Oz with elements from the world of Wicked, offering a new perspective on a timeless tale.

The transition-year production followed Dorothy and her companions on their famous journey along the yellow brick road, while also uncovering the story from the witches’ point of view. This clever twist added depth and excitement, delighting audiences of all ages.

Written and directed by Michael Florin Cahill with dynamic choreography by Marie Cashin, the show was filled with heart, humour and theatrical magic.
