Woman arrested in connection with fatal Dublin assault released without charge

A woman arrested in connection with the fatal assault of 21-year-old Qayyum Balogun in Dublin city centre has been released without charge.

Mr Balogun died after suffering stab wounds on Clarendon Street in the early hours of Monday morning.

Gardaí say a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to the woman, who is in her 20s.

A man, also aged in his 20s, who was arrested earlier on Wednesday, remains in Garda custody.
