Woman (20s) injured following assault in Co Meath

A woman is in hospital following a serious assault in Duleek, Co. Meath, on Friday morning.

The incident occurred on Abbey Road shortly after 11.10 am.

A woman, aged in her 20’s, was conveyed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of Abbey Road, Duleek, Co. Meath, between 10.30 am and 11.30 am on the morning of Friday 17th July 2026, and who may have camera footage - including dash-cam footage - is asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.
