A 33-year-old man has been sent forward for trial over a seizure of weapons, including a blank-firing gun, a crossbow, pepper spray, and a baton, in Dublin.

Tarek Ouzen, with an address at Clonbanin Cross, Boherbue, Cork, was served with a book of evidence containing 10 charges at Dublin District Court on Thursday.

He is accused of possessing cocaine, a baton capable of inflicting serious injury, and a lock knife as a weapon at a south Dublin bar on October 22nd, 2025.

On the same date, it is alleged that at an apartment in Rathmines, Dublin, he had pepper spray, a crossbow, a Sig Sauer P320 air gun, a Bruni blank-firing pistol, blank and spherical projectile ammunition.

The charges are under the Firearms, Misuse of Drugs, and Firearms and Offensive Weapons acts.

Judge Máire Conneely noted the Director of Public Prosecutions had directed that he face trial on indictment.

Accordingly, she granted a return for trial order, sending him forward to the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, where the case will be listed for mention on June 25th.

Legal aid was granted to the accused, who has yet to enter a plea.

He was warned to notify prosecutors if he intended to use an alibi in his defence.

Judge Conneely also directed gardaí to furnish the defence with copies of interview videos.

There was no objection to bail with an independent surety.
