Funeral of grandfather found injured at his Tipperary home to take place Friday

A grandfather of seven who was found injured outside his home and subsequently died four days later is to be laid to rest on Friday.
Timothy “Teddy” Murnane (81) was discovered on St Michael's Avenue, Tipperary town, shortly after 9:30pm last Thursday
Mr Murnane, a retired bus driver, was taken by ambulance to Limerick University Hospital (LUH) in a critical condition. He died last Monday.
A 31-year-old man appeared before Nenagh District Court charged with assault and burglary in relation to the incident.
Sean Harding, with an address at Marian Terrace in Tipperary town, was charged with one count of assault causing harm and with three counts of burglary.
His funeral notice details that Mr Murnane was predeceased by his parents, brothers and sister.
He will be “sadly missed by his heartbroken family,” wife Margaret, daughter Rachel, sons Patrick and Timothy, grandchildren Colin, Aoife, Rebecca, Trinity, Tyler, Theo and George.
Also his sisters Eileen and Breda, son-in-law Nicholas, daughters-in-law Bridget and Domenica, extended family and friends.
Mr Murnane’s remains will be reposing at Whelan's Funeral Home, Bansha Road, Tipperary on Thursday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
His funeral Mass will be held in St Michael's Church, Tipperary Town on Friday at midday with burial afterwards in St Michael's Cemetery, Tipperary Town.
A sympathizer on rip.ie wrote that they have “great memories” of Mr Murnane running a “local shopping bus for years” and a trip to Ballinspittle in Cork to see the moving statue.
The person continued: “We did more laughing on the bus than praying. Even meeting him in town he would stop for a chat and we would laugh about the good old times. May God rest him, a really lovely man."
