Emergency services responded to the scene of a car that smashed into the front of a filling station premises in Limerick City on Monday.

The car, a silver coloured SUV, sustained damage to its front.

The front of the Circle K premises, located at Thomondgate, Limerick, was badly damaged too.

Videos of footage of interior and exterior damage caused to the premises were shared on social media.

There were no reports of injuries.

Local gardaí and firefighters attached to Limerick City and County Fire and Rescue Service were present at the scene.

A security cordon was put up around the forecourt as emergency services surveyed the structural damage to the premises.

The Garda Press Office said: “There are no reported incidents matching this description on our system at this time.”

Circle K did not immediately respond.
