Miriam O’Callaghan to headline Carlow Chamber President's Lunch

Miriam O'Callaghan will be at the Carlow Chamber President's Lunch this Friday 5 December

BROADCASTER Miriam O’Callaghan and former rugby pundit Bernard Jackman will be the guest speakers at this year’s Carlow Chamber of Commerce President’s Lunch this Friday 5 December.

The event, sponsored by Carlow County Council, will take place at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel and will feature a fireside chat with the two high-profile personalities, both of whom have recently undertaken new career directions.

Ms O’Callaghan recently launched her memoir ‘Miriam: Life, Work & Everything’, while Mr Jackman is about to launch a new business venture.

The theme for this year’s lunch is ‘Embracing New Directions - Discussions on Pivoting, Adapting & Evolving’.

Cathaoirleach Ken Murnane said he was delighted the Council could support the event. “I’m proud as chair of the Council to again work with the Carlow Chamber in celebrating the businesses and leaders who continue to make County Carlow a dynamic place to live, work, and invest,” he said.

Chamber president Norah Ryan said she was looking forward to the fireside chat with both guests. “As business people, we are all familiar with that need to evolve, to grow and to pivot. Trying something new can be as daunting as it is exciting. So, it will be very interesting to get an insight into their experiences and perspectives on taking on new challenges,” she said.

The President’s Lunch is one of the highlights of the Chamber calendar, providing members and non-members with an opportunity to network in the run-up to Christmas.

Tickets are available on the Chamber website. For further information contact Nicola Doran at ceo@carlowchamber.com.
