Man charged with murder of woman in Portlaoise to appear in court this morning

A man, aged in his 70s has been charged in relation to the fatal attack on a woman in Portlaoise on Sunday. The man is due to appear before Portlaoise District Court this morning Tuesday 7 July, 2026 at 10.30am.
Adina Raluca Constantin was fatally injured when she was attacked at a premises on Church Street, Portlaoise, on Sunday last shortly after 12.30pm.
Ms Constantin (55), who was Eastern European had been living in Portlaoise for the past 15 years and worked in a dental repair practice on Church Street, She was pronounced dead at the scene.
