Here be dragons in Carlow this Halloween!
This Halloween, The Exchange in Carlow is set to be transformed into a world of dragons, fire and theatrical spectacle!
FAMIILIES are in for a fiery Halloween treat this year when takes place on Monday and Tuesday, 26-27 October, combining live performance, dramatic visual effects and theatrical storytelling in what promises to be an unforgettable adventure.
Across the two days and as part of the audiences can enjoy eight live shows, featuring a fully themed performance set, atmospheric lighting and sound, and fiery performance elements as the dragon comes to life on stage.
The excitement won’t end when the curtain falls, either. After each performance, families will have the chance to meet the dragonsand capture the moment with a special dragon-themed photo opportunity.
Mayor of the municipal district of Carlow, cllr Ken Murnane, said the event would bring something special to the heart of the town.
“Halloween is a wonderful time for families and we are delighted to bring an experience of this scale to The Exchange in Carlow. The promises to be something really special, combining theatre, imagination and spectacle in the heart of the town,” he said.
“I would encourage families to get their tickets early, come into Carlow and enjoy what promises to be a fantastic Linda Culleton, economic development officer with Carlow County Council, said the festival aims to give families another great reason to visit the town.
“Our aim with is to create memorable experiences that give families another great reason to visit and spend time in Carlow. The is highly visual, exciting and interactive and having eight performances over two days provides families with plenty of opportunities to take part,” she said.
“We expect the shows to be very popular, so our message is simple â get your tickets now and make the part of your Halloween plans.” Tickets are on sale, priced at €7 for children and €9.50 for adults. With places limited across the eight performances, families are being encouraged to book early to secure their preferred show time.
