Gaelcoil Cheatharlach, St Fiacc’s and Scoil Diarmada scoop top prizes in schools quiz
Gaelscoil Cheatharlach were the winning team in Spraoicheist an Fhómhair - the autumn table quiz as Gaeilge
Féile an Fhómhair '25 kicked off on Friday morning with Spraoicheist an Fhómhair, the popular autumn table quiz 'as Gaeilge' for primary schools.
Up to 150 sixth class pupils from seven local primary schools took part. Scoring was very close with only four marks separating the top four teams.
Teams from Castledermot's Scoil Diarmada and Scoil Fiacc in Graiguecullen shared third prize while teams from Gaelscoil Cheatharlach took the top two places. All were delighted to receive goody bags of Halloween treats in advance of Oíche Shamhna.
