FINE Gael will hold its fourth small business and enterprise conference at SETU in Carlow this coming Saturday, 27 September.
Fine Gael ministers Peter Burke, Paschal Donohoe and Jennifer Carroll MacNeill will attend to engage with business owners and employers to hear what they require to ensure continued growth and development.
“Fine Gael has always supported and recognised the valuable role that SMEs play in the Irish economy,” said Catherine Callaghan TD.
“Throughout difficult periods, including Brexit, Covid and US tariffs, Fine Gael in government has worked closely with the sector to ensure their continued success both here at home and abroad.”
The Fine Gael Women’s Network will also meet on Saturday at SETU.
“The network has a significant impact in shaping policy and the future of politics in Ireland, both at a local and national level,” said deputy Callaghan. “Members of the network are committed to achieving gender equality and to motivating and supporting young women to participate in politics and encourage those who wish to take leadership roles within the party.”
Among the events taking place at the conference is a panel on business supports which will include Mr Donohoe and local business owner Nicola Doyle, of Barrow Brew, based in Milford.
Minister for health Ms Carroll MacNeill will participate in a discussion on innovation and healthcare.
This is the fourth year Fine Gael has held a small business conference ahead of the budget, while it is a first for the women’s network, with previous similar events proving extremely popular with the business community, members of the party and the public.
