Drugs worth €4.5k seized in Carlow town 

Gardaí seized approximately €4,500 worth of suspected cocaine in two separate operations in Carlow town over the weekend.

The first search took place yesterday, Sunday 28 September, when gardaí executed a warrant at a house in the town at approximately 8pm. During the search, cocaine with an estimated street value of €1,000 was seized, pending analysis. A man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with possession of drugs for sale or supply.

In a second operation that took place today (Monday), gardaí carried out another search under warrant at a property in Carlow town at approximately 1pm. Suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €3,500 was seized. A suspect was arrested and charged with possession of drugs for sale or supply.

Both investigations are ongoing.
